When students from MetWest High School produced a documentary about lunches in Oakland schools they had no idea it would air on national TV!! But on Monday, September 15, PBS NewsHour (seen in the Bay Area on KQED), ran their video story! And that is a BIG deal!!!!!

“Oakland Farm to School: California Thursdays” explains an innovative program started in the Oakland Unified School District to offer healthier and tastier options for school lunches. And the best part – students vote on which new dishes they like and would eat!
